This nail art is ridiculously simple given how quirky and fun it looks, thanks to the power of nail stickers. To achieve this all you have to do is pick some Halloween-esque colours like the purple and orange here, paint each colour on alternate nails, stick a nail sticker on each nail and then paint over the whole nail and sticker with a top coat and you're done!

And you can get some really good, inexpensive nail stickers pretty much everywhere. Website like Etsy and Amazon have fantastic collections but if you can't wait for delivery, even local supermarkets like Sainsbury's and Tesco sell sticker packets for just a couple of pounds.

For the more hardcore Halloween fans amongst us, this creepier nail art is great. To achieve this look, simply paint your nails white and then, taking care to cover your clothes and your work surface with newspaper, take some red paint and splatter your nails. If your nails are long like those in the picture, feel free to take the brush and actually add in some lines and gory-looking blobs.

This design is perfect for the badass inner witch in you! Simple paint your nails black and then take a sponge and apply a glitter nail polish to it. Next, dab the glitter polish-covered sponge onto the ends of your nails and voila! Green looks perfectly vampy but orange, purple and silver glitter make for a great Halloween look. Extra points if you can shape your nails into this killer stiletto point!

These nails are deceptively clever but could involve taking a risk with your nail shape. Begin by filing the nails on your pointing finger and pinky finger into a point and cut the nails on the two middle fingers and your thumb into a straight line. On the other hand, if you're not ready to mess with your nail shape, you could buy plain stick on nails and then shape them. Next, paint your nails white and then to the two pointed nails, dabble a little red. Now, look at those gory fangs!

This final one is simple yet effective. Save for the third finger on each hand, paint the nails on the other fingers a thumbs in alternating black and orange. For the third fingers, take a sponge and on it paint a horizontal stripe of yellow, followed by horizontal stripe of orange below it and then a white one below that. Then press the sponge onto the nails. You might have to do it a couple of times to ensure there is enough colour. Once dry, paint over them in top coat and there you have it. Two candy corn nails!
