British South Asian Heritage Month

This year, from the 18th of July to the 17th of August, the first ever South Asian Heritage Month is being celebrated. Co-hosted by The Grand Trunk Project and the Partition Commemoration Campaign. The aim of the festival is to celebrate the diversity of the history and culture of those of south Asian heritage in the UK. Due to Covid19, all the events are currently being held online.

There is a lot to get excited about though! For example, today at 3pm there is an Introduction to Carnatic Music Workshop and on the 1st of August there is an LGBTQI+ event with Club Kali. There are also south Asian book club sessions, panel discussions on everything from healing, feminism and the Asian experience of WW2, a radio play and south Asian cooking lessons!
